well made and comfortable, could use some stylistic upgrades
I am planning to keep these, but I wish they were a little dressier and less like a casual rain boot in terms of style. Maybe ABEO can work on creating a wedge dress boot? I plan to use these for when I am traveling and want to wear tall boots, but need some added support for long days of walking. After nearly destroying my Achilles tendons from wearing formless Ugg boots all over the place, I am now committed to more seriously designed boots, and these will fit the bill for now. I sized up from 8.5 to 9 because I plan to wear heavy socks underneath them , and they are still a bit loose in the calves even with thick socks. The footbed feels great, and the back of the heel is supportive, exactly what I need to prevent an Achilles tendonitis flair up. The slope of the wedge feels kind on the feet and yet provides some much desired height. I don't care for the strap on the upper back calf area -- again, this makes it look too rain boot and casual , but if I wear it with a long skirt you won't see that. If you have large calves , you'll probably like the extra space, but it is my least favorite feature of these otherwise comfortable, well made boots.
